Homemade cloth diaper
Okay, this one has a great story. Well it's a great story now that it is over. We went to grampy's to visit Great Grandma Ryan and both babies had a blow out at the same time. I went to get diapers and come to find there was only one in the diaper bag. I thought no problem I always have some in the stroller for emergencies like this one. I searched frantically in the stroller and the car to not find a single diaper. I couldn't leave the dirty diaper on my poor baby so we had to make a homemade one and hurry home before he decided it was time to poo again. As you can tell the diaper wouldn't do a thing if he were to go in it. I also wrapped him in a towel so he wouldn't get pee on his car seat on the drive home. Luckily the piece of cloth was still dry when we arrived home.
So another lesson learned--Always double check the diaper bag for all essential needs. I now have diapers stashed everywhere.

My little chatter boxes
Finally!!! Both babies are really increasing their vocabulary and I have been trying for a few weeks to get it on video. This video is with my phone, so sorry for its poor quality.
This all started a few weeks ago, actually while they were sick. Luke woke up one morning chattering away. He was so proud and I think Carter was a bit jealous cause it was only a few days before he decided to join in on Luke's conversations. Now they don't stop. They are learning all different sounds and combinations of syllables. I can even understand a few words like, Uh oh, thank you, spider and bear, on top of mama and dada.
They have also decided they like us to read them books. They will bring us one and stand there while we read it to them. They like to turn the pages, sometimes even before we are finished reading. I am really enjoying this phase and feel they are starting to process words and understand objects. Like I've said before, I love seeing their little minds at work. Enjoy!!
