Ft. Worth Stock Show and Rodeo

Today we had our annual family trip to the Ft. Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. This was the babies first time to the rodeo and they had an awesome time. Jeff and his family have been going to the rodeo every year since he can remember. I'm excited for Luke and Carter to be able to participate in some of their Daddy's family traditions.

My future swimmer

I love Luke's new trick that he learned on his own. When Luke was a very small infant he would always kick his legs and rotate his little feet in circles. Everyone one would say 'he's going to be a swimmer'. Well I'm starting to think more and more that maybe he will be. Look out Micheal Phleps here comes Luke Manning. He started this the other night and he is so proud of himself every time,as so am I. He has also just started taking us to his room saying 'bath, bath' and he's just started saying no to everything as you can hear in the video. Toddler ville here we are!!!

Brush em, Brush em

Each evening we take care of a lot of business in the bath tub. We take our vitamin, Carter takes his meds to help his digestion and we brush our teeth. Carter isn't a big fan of the brushing, but Luke loves it and is getting very good at it. I keep trying to get Carter to let me brush for him, but he refuses. Well at least I know a good dentist if he ends up with a cavity.

Something Special

I am so thankful to own two of the most adorable quilts ever made. I have saved several of my favorite and most meaningful items of clothing from the babies first year of life. Some are from first holidays/birthday and others are from special people or special events. These quilts are something I will cherish forever and I am so thankful to have them. I can't wait to give them to my babies when they are grown up.

I want to thank my talented Step Mom (Kem) for taking the time to make these for me. I am amazed with her creativity and ability to whip together something so special to one person.

Thanks Kem for all your hard work!!!

A conversation between two 17 month olds....

sounds something like this--

Please excuse the precious tooshie.

They have been in deep conversation with one another lately and of course the one time I can actually get it on video has to be in the bathtub. The end of the video is what I have to hear all day long. Everything is 'me me' or 'mine' with Carter. I was hoping he would talk to Luke more but of course didn't. Enjoy!!!

Our own little chairs

One of our Christmas gift's was little chairs for each of the babies. I have been wanting to get them a little couch or something they could climb on and sit in. So we were excited to get these little personalized chairs for them. We finally received one in the mail the other day and I was surprised how much they like it. They were fighting over who was going to sit in it. Sometimes it's fun to let them work things out for themselves. We still only have one chair for now (the other is still on back order), but there is always someone in the chair at all time. I'm glad they like them.
