Oh what fun we are having on our new playground. Daddy finally finished it last Sunday and we have been sliding our little hearts out since. Up the ladder, down the slide. Over and over again. Now every time we walk by the back door it is 'slide, slide' whereas before it was 'outside, outside'. I love watching my babies grow and play like such big boys. We are looking forward to having all our friends over to play soon.
Thank you Daddy and Uncle Bryan for taking the time to make us such a wonderful playground. We are so lucky to have you for our Daddy.
---Love, Luke and Carter

I think we have a problem,...

we are addicted to Elmo. I'm not sure if Luke has the problem or if I do. Everything at our house right now is red, has two huge buggy eyes and goes by Elmo. At first I was excited we finally found interest in one thing, but now I think I may go crazy. The bad part is not only does Luke want everything Elmo, I find myself looking for Elmo products, clothing, food items, EVERYTHING!!! Just for a note, I do refuse to get Elmo shoes, but I did find this adorable vintage shirt at Old Navy which is hidden away at the moment. I do believe Elmo is Luke's first word each morning and I'm sure he repeats it at least a million times a day. Oh what fun times. Carter doesn't really seem to have an interest in just one thing right now, but I'm sure he will soon enough.

Dancing in the rain

Fun, fun time in the rain.
It's been a while since I've posted. Not due to not having anything to write about, but due to the small amount of time on my hands lately. We have been so busy with projects around the house, work and most importantly spending time with our wonderful baby boys. Last week it rained several days and we were really starting to feel the cabin fever. So what else is better than playing in the rain? They played for over an hour. We have some very cute rain boots that we were testing out, but they just ended up getting in the way so off they went. The babies had a blast splashing in the water. Now every time we go outside they look at the sky and say 'rain, rain'.

Really!?! 21 Months-already

Carter singing with Daddy

We have made it 21 months and are thriving more than ever. Carter is so smart he amazes me everyday. He is repeating most words and starting to point out letters and numbers. Not the actual letter, but the fact that it is a letter or number. Most letters are O and A and all numbers are 2. Each evening we point to the letters of his name on the wall above his crib and he will repeat most of them after us. He loves to sing and play with his toys. Carter is what you would call 'strong willed'. When he doesn't get his way or isn't happy about something he is experimenting with his emotions and having a few tantrums. We are still working with this one and I hope we are able to get this under control before it's out of hand.

Luke saying hi to his own reflection

Luke is my sweet baby boy. Carter always points at him, looks at me and says 'baby baby' and I say 'yes, he's our baby'. I'm not sure how this will go over later on, but for now it's cute. Luke is so gentle and such a cuddle bug. His vocabulary has really increased in the past few weeks, he loves to eat and he really LOVES Elmo. He too is pointing out letters and he is starting to tell me when he is pee peeing (only when he is in the bath or right when he gets out). I sat him on the potty a few times this evening and he really seemed to know what he needed to do, but he had already peed on the floor so I guess he didn't have anything left to put in the potty. I think it's time to get a little potty.

As I always say, I am so blessed to have these two babies given to me. I couldn't imagine my life without either one of them. I am so happy to finally have my family I have waited so long for. Enjoy the sweet videos.

Toddler time at the MAC

We had a great time today at 'Toddler Time' at the Mansfield Activity Center. They have it every Monday and Wednesday from 10-12 so since I was off today we decided to check it out. The babies had a BLAST. I kept loosing Carter as he would run from one end of the gym to the other in no time flat. They had a bounce house, mats, balls, tunnels, huge blocks, you get the picture. Our friend Morgan joined us, who is one week older than L&C. After playing our little hearts out, we took Morgan to Chick-fil-a for a little double date lunch. Once we were home the babies took and extra long nap. When they woke Luke again had his diaper off. When will I learn to keep shorts on him when he sleeps. No pee pee in the bed-thank goodness. So I'm not sure if the long nap was due to playing hard or being in the nude, as you may remember from previous post. Happy Monday!! Back to work tomorrow.

Boogie, Boogie, Boogie

This is one of our favorite dances. Anytime they are acting grumpy I just say 'boogie, boogie, boogie' and they start moving their feet. So Cute!!! I love this age. They are almost 21 months and such a joy. They are saying a new word each day and starting to put words together. It is amazing to look at them and imagine that they were made specially for me. I still can't believe I'm a mom some days. They are truly the best blessings ever (even on the bad/hard days).

My Family (tears and all)
