We put the train track together and played for hours

We could not resist being outside on a beautiful day like today.  We have so dearly missed seeing the sun and have missed being outside.  Today the only time we were inside was to eat and sleep.  Thank you mother nature for a beautiful day and allowing my duo run out all their built up energy.  It must have worked, cause they didn't make a peep tonight when we put them down.

45 seconds in my life

I thought I'd give everyone just 45 seconds of what my life is like.  I like to call it controlled chaos.  There is hardly a quite moment around here unless they are sleeping (which is my favorite time some days).  This is just a glimpse in the bath tub but after seeing that you can use your imagination as to what the rest of our days consist of.

Just messing

Silly boy!!!

Here are a few fun pics of Luke and Carter messing around in their room the other day.  Carter thinks it's cool for me to try to capture him in mid air then he wants to look at the picture to be sure I got it just perfect (thanks techology and a witty kiddo).  Luke also likes to practice with the camera.  He is getting much better considering I deleted about 50 of either floor or celing.  It's fun to give them the camera once in a while just to see what the world looks like at their level.  Now I just need to get them their own kid proof cameras so they will quite fighting over mine and we can avoid anymore accidental drops and damage.

Lukes best shot so far.

Fort Worth Stock show and Rodeo 2011

Today we had our annual Manning trip to the Ft. Worth Stock show and Rodeo.  You may remember when I posted on this last year I stated that Jeff and his family have been to the Rodeo every year since he can remember.  I'm hoping the same for our boys.  It is so fun to be 'cowboys', as Luke calls us, to soak in the nice scent of animal poo, and to watch the traditional and very well know Fort Worth Rodeo.  Some of the best cowboys come to Ft. Worth to compete in this rodeo and every show is completely packed.  Luke and Carter had a very good day and even were able to catch a few zzz's during the show (which helped us enjoy the rodeo in peace for a bit).  I look forward to our annual trips to the smelly barns and good bull riding.

Strider Bikers

This fall we have really been getting a lot of use out of our strider bikes.  We practiced all summer in the house then we put our new skills to the test outside.  Although it took some time, they are now getting much faster, going down hills, lifting their feet when gliding and can make their way up most hills.  We are still working on the helmet part.  I told myself that the helmet goes with the bike and if they wanted to ride the bike, the helmet is a must.  Somewhere between here and there that went out the window.  Luke usually is OK to put his on, but I can't get the thing near Carter's head.  I will defiantly have to get this situation resolved before we go to a busy park or move up to bigger bikes.  My advise to mom's of younger children (mainly those who have strong willed ones) the helmet and bike go together from the very beginning--No if's, and's or but's.  One day I will figure this one out, not only for bikes but all things!!
Here are a few videos of my sweet babies showing off some of their awesome new stunts.

Ready for 2011!!!

Happy New Year from Luke and Carter

Good bye 2010, hello 2011!!!!  I am so excited and ready for this new year.  I have many goals planned and look forward to accomplishing them all.  I haven't made a new year resolution in a very long time and I can promise you I have never kept the ones I did make.  I feel this year will be different!!  I feel it's different because I'm a different person.  I don't have resolutions of losing weight or becoming a healthier person, those things should be life not resolutions, I have resolutions and goals for my family, my inner self, my relationship with the Lord and my drive for life.  I like to consider myself as a very lucky gal, with a very loving husband and two of the most adorable little boys, with billions of wonderful friends who help me be the best person I have within me, with so much family close by to help me when I'm in need, with a very stable job (which I enjoy most days) and with a roof over my head and food in my belly.  How could a girl ask for more??
Most of all my goal for 2011 is to be the best mommy I can be for Luke and Carter.  They are my purpose for life.  They are the reason I want to wake up each morning.  Some days I wonder how I lived without them.
Luke cuddling with Baby Cade
This New Year's Eve we stayed home and had a few friends over to play games.  I am very proud of us to make it to midnight.  We looked at the clock at 8:45 and couldn't believe it wasn't even 9 yet. The time moved a little faster once we got into our games and fireworks.  12 o'clock arrived before we knew it.  We all enjoyed a nice toast and a few smooches for good luck.  I really enjoyed spending time with the Cellars and look forward to more fun game nights with them. Before we know it baby Cade will be running around with his two buddies.  Happy New Year's!!!
I hope this is a sign to a good year.  Starting it off in 1st place.

Cheers
